Senior Speech and Language Therapist

We are seeking a passionate Senior Speech and Language Therapist to join our client’s Children’s Disability Network Team (CDNT) in Athlone. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work within a multidisciplinary team, supporting children with disabilities to enhance their communication skills and overall development.

Key Responsibilities

1. Assess, diagnose, and provide therapy for children with a range of speech, language, and communication difficulties.
2. Develop and implement individualized therapy plans tailored to each child’s needs.
3. Work closely with families, caregivers, and the multidisciplinary team to support the child’s development.
4. Provide training and guidance to parents and professionals on communication strategies.
5. Contribute to service planning, development, and quality improvement initiatives.

Requirements

1. A degree in Speech and Language Therapy and CORU registration.
2. A minimum of three years’ post-qualification experience, preferably in paediatrics and disability services.
3. Strong clinical reasoning and problem-solving skills.
4. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
5. Experience working in a multidisciplinary team setting.
