As a Senior Specialist, Debt Solutions your responsibilities will include:

1. Responding promptly to initial contact from debtors by telephone, email, etc.
2. Conducting initial interviews and meetings with debtors, including doing the sign ups
3. Timely follow up on potential debtors
4. Input debtor documentation and workbook into firm software and prepare sign up documents
5. Review files for comparison and appropriateness
6. Ensure full compliance with the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act and directives in the delivery of service
7. Building positive working relationships with debtors, referral sources, the Office of Superintendent (OSB) and all other stakeholders
8. Assess clients’ budget plans and financial goals
9. Deliver an excellent and empathetic experience for the clients
10. Communicating with clients, creditors and other third parties
11. Monitor the status and progress of debt relief options and filings
12. Review applications and inputting data into our computer system

Think you’ve got what it takes to be a Senior Specialist, Debt Solutions? Like the colour purple? Great. Here's a few more boxes we’re also hoping you can tick:

1. Minimum 3 – 5 years of experience in the Insolvency industry dealing directly with debtors, creditors, and industry stakeholders
2. Bilingual (French) would be an asset but not a requirement
3. College diploma in Business Administration or a related field preferred
4. Exceptional interpersonal skills to relate with clients and liaise with team members
5. Ability to be an articulate and versatile communicator, both written and verbal
6. High computer literacy including the ability to learn new programs and previous experience using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
7. Excellent time management and organizational skills
8. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
9. Ability to work independently
