Location Address: 44 King Street W 23rd Floor hybrid – 1 – 3 days/per week in the office (Tuesdays and any other days)

Contract Duration: 6 months

Reason: Contractor to assist with IB Wealth Management Data Factory program.

Story Behind the Need

Business group: Enterprise Platform Architecture & Enablement – responsible for program delivery for analytics and data projects. Utilize Data Science Life Cycle Framework (combination of project management and Agile delivery).

Project: International Banking Data Factory – work with local countries to bring in data to Toronto so they can create events models or reporting for the business to make business decisions. Data-driven project to enhance the decision-making process. Work with a Scrum Master to complete the work.

The Delivery Manager ensures that project business needs and outcomes align with the business case and strategic objectives. They manage projects to optimize ROI and are recognized for their industry knowledge and business acumen. The role requires expertise in emerging technologies, project management, Agile methodologies, and technical architecture. Key skills include strong communication, problem-solving, attention to detail, interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently. The Delivery Manager also excels in relationship and general business management, developing creative solutions focused on overall business outcomes.

Responsibilities

1. Develop creative approaches to problem resolution, with a focus on overall business solutions rather than specific packages or technologies.
2. Identify and confirm project leads from all required stakeholders to ensure responsibilities and deliveries are understood.
3. Define project governance, identify senior stakeholders and sponsors to form a steering committee if necessary, and work with the Project Sponsor to prepare appropriate information for dissemination.
4. Work with the Project Sponsor to establish and manage the project scope, ensuring Project Change Notifications are raised and approved as necessary.
5. Hold meetings and work sessions to ensure project management deliverables are met, provide support to clients, motivate the project team, and maintain project momentum against changing priorities.
6. Expert facilitation and interviewing skills are required to produce objective Benefit Maps.
7. Balance competing goals of various workstreams, requiring a mature, diplomatic approach and strong negotiation and influencing skills.

Must-Have skills:

1. 8-10 years of experience in project management tools (Microsoft Office 365, Confluence and Jira) and Agile methodologies.
2. 8-10 years of experience in banking and financial services.
3. 3-5 years of emerging technologies such as GCP and/or Azure.
4. 3-5 years of experience in product development methodologies (Banking products, analytics models, or any other) and good understanding of technical architecture.
5. Knowledge of banking, data processing, planning techniques, budget management, organizational management, the Bank’s Systems Development Methodology, and security awareness principles are necessary.
6. Fluent in Spanish and English.

Nice-To-Have Skills:

1. A PMP designation is an asset.
2. Scrum Master Certification is an asset.
