About the Opportunity

Are you a super user of Student Information Systems or a talented higher education professional with experience implementing the Banner Student Information System modules? Are you interested in a career delivering innovative solutions that will transform Higher Ed, including enthusiasm for the variety of software solutions used to run the business of Higher Education? Ellucian is seeking an experienced Senior Student Consultant to join the North American Professional Services team to lead implementations of our integrated administrative solutions for colleges and universities. The Senior Student Consultant will support all aspects related to the configuration, conversion, implementation, testing and deployment of our Banner Student solution. The position will capitalize on your extensive understanding of the Banner Student Information System, specifically focused on these areas: Person Record Management; Catalog and Curriculum design, Registration, Self-Service operations for the Student and Faculty and Student Life. Understanding Enrollment cycles, Accounts Receivable and Business Office Operations will be of added value.

In this mission critical role, you will partner with our customers to help enable their transformation to cloud/SAAS solutions and ensure successful adoption of these solutions.

  • Proactively prepare for and deliver high quality services with a willingness to learn and adapt to new strategies that evolve as technology and implementation methodology mature.
  • Utilize strong analytical and problem-solving skills to bridge the gap between the functional and technical aspects of Ellucian solutions and client’s business objectives.
  • Lead customers to embrace performance improvement, transformation and modernization and remediate issues that impede enabling customer greatness, executing all activities with precision and professionalism to ensure successful SaaS implementations.
  • Collaborate with various Professional Services teammates on process improvement, use and maintenance of services artifacts and the maturation and promotion of recommended practices.
  • Success will be measured by customer satisfaction, achievement of project goals, and utilization targets.

What you will bring

  • SIS experience including implementation and deployment work on the modules noted above; plus SWF (Student Workload Formula), OCAS (the centralized Ontario Colleges Application System) and Student Aid. (5+ years).
  • Experience with multiple operations across the Canadian post-secondary landscape.
  • Extensive knowledge of Canadian Higher Education practices and provincial regulations necessary.
  • Willingness to grow knowledge across other Ellucian solutions.
  • Ability to communicate and present to work team stakeholders as well as project leaders both internally and externally.
  • Enabling delivery readiness, problem solving and root cause analysis through creativity, critical thinking and a strong work ethic.
  • Strong prioritization skills, able to manage activities based on business impact and time constraints.
  • Able to multitask and meet deadlines.
  • Support and demonstration of Ellucian values.
  • Ability to travel both domestically and internationally to deliver services when required.
