You'll Be Responsible For:- Contractor's Monthly Progress Reports:
- Develop and maintain monthly progress report compliance checklist.
- Review monthly schedule updates against checklist and standard practices.
- Slice the report and schedule by stream and share with relevant team members.
- Coordinate with stream leads for input and provide additional information as needed.
- Analyze schedule performance metrics and variances to identify trends and opportunities for improvement, providing insights to the Lead Scheduler.
- Coordinate with client's TA to confirm actuals reported by the Contractor.
- Perform variance analysis on dates, progress, cost and float.
- Perform Earned Value Analysis (EVA).
- Perform bifurcation analysis on the schedule.
- Collate comments from stream leads and include in the formal CRR file and coordinate review with Lead Scheduler.
- Coordinate with CA scheduling team for consensus.
- Coordinate with document control and ensure timely response to the monthly report.
- Run resource curves, critical path analysis, EV, SPI.
- Engaging in bi-weekly (or as required, TBD by Lead Scheduler) site walks with construction team to visualize reporting data and project status.
- Performing critical path collapse analysis on top critical paths and prepare charts and reports.
- Assisting lead schedule in developing scheduling plans and procedures.
- Guiding the Contractor to develop and maintain 4D planning setup and reporting.
- Reviewing Contractor's weekly report, share with concerned team members, collate and review feedback, and issue to the Project Controls team for records.
- Leading workshops related to assigned Zone in Design, PLAA, Construction, T&C, QA/QC...etc.
- Internal Monthly Report:
- Update the Master Schedule in accordance with Contractor's updates.
- Prepare presentation for analysis and findings on the Contractor's report and schedule update.
- Present findings to the IPD team with recommendation.
- Baseline/Schedule Review:
- Development and maintenance of Schedule Compliance Check list (including all relevant clauses in the contract).
- Perform DCMA-14 analysis and other schedule integrity review.
- Review the schedule integrity, scope completeness, schedule quality and settings.
- Conduct critical path analysis to identify the most critical tasks and sequences, providing valuable insights to the Lead Scheduler for effective decision-making.
- Extract information and present it in various formats (histograms, summary Gant chart, pie chart, tabular, etc.)
- Prepare presentation with recommendations to project stakeholders upon review conclusion.
- Review schedule cost loading against,
- CBS and agreed Estimate.
- Agreed rules of resource assignment.
- Agreed rules of credit.
- Ensure that the project schedule adheres to all relevant regulations, safety standards, and legal requirements specific to the Subway extension project.
- Coordinating with commercial and estimation teams for schedule delays, variations, schedule submissions with estimates, procurement...etc.
- Developing construction schedules for what-if scenarios/analysis to support decision making.
- Analyzing consultants, suppliers, contractor schedules and provide analysis/recommendations.
- Performing and/or coordinating, collecting, verifying, and integrating the work scope for all entities into the total project plan. Reviews the representation of project scope in schedules.
- Reviewing tender schedules submitted by vendors to ensure that logical sequence is used by vendors, no open-ended activities, linkages are correct and reflect of targets.
- Ensuring that the construction schedule is updated regularly with progress achieved and make changes to the sequence and duration of activities where appropriate.
- Identifying strategies, in coordination with construction team, for catching up lost time or avoiding potential delays and opportunities to accelerate the work's completion.
- Collaborating with the lead scheduler to create detailed project master schedule that aligns with the progressive delivery model, ensuring that all tasks and activities are accurately represented.
- Fostering effective communication and collaboration with project teams, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure schedule alignment and resolve any scheduling conflicts.
- Interfacing with other functional departments for scheduling input in coordination with Lead Scheduler and Scheduling Manager.
- Identifying potential issues regarding project interfaces, delays or other issues that will impact program deliverables.
- Supporting delivery team to analyze schedule and develop short-, medium- and long-term construction plans and targets.
- Maintaining and respecting the communication channels for escalation and approval processes.
You'll Need To Have:- Proficiency in using advanced scheduling software such as Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or other relevant tools to create, manage, and update project schedules.
- Experience in identifying potential scheduling risks, developing risk mitigation strategies, and implementing contingency plans to minimize disruptions.
- Capability to integrate the schedules of multiple project teams and contractors, ensuring alignment with the overall project timeline.
- Proficient in handling changes to the project schedule, evaluating their impact, and implementing necessary adjustments while considering the progressive delivery approach.
- The ability to analyze project data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions to optimize the project schedule and delivery.
- Ability to adapt to changing project requirements, timelines, and priorities in the dynamic environment of a Subway extension project.
- Working experience in claims management or forensic delay analysis.
- Ability to make decisions such as accepting contractor schedules, commenting and rejecting.
- Ability to maintain professional and sustainable relationships with stakeholders.
You'll Also Have:- Minimum ten (10) years of relevant experience.
- Diploma or degree in engineering/relevant discipline (or equivalent).
- Proficient knowledge and experience in the use of Primavera P6 software.
- Work experience on rail and transit projects is mandatory.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and Advanced skills in Excel.
- Proficiency in Primavera P6.
- 4D Planning software experience is essential (Synchro or similar).
- Working knowledge of Navisworks, Synchro, Power BI and TILOS is an asset.
The estimated salary for this position is $170,000. Starting salary may vary based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as experience, skills and qualifications.
