Senior Full Stack/ UI Developer - Python & Angular

This is with a global IT services firm for a leading investment/wealth management services firm. Client Location is downtown Toronto Ontario, close to TTC and GO service. Hybrid - In Office 3-4 days per week. Contract - 6 months, possible renewal.

Responsibilities:

1. Manage timelines/deliverables within the team towards the successful delivery of projects.
2. Design software solutions by interacting with portfolio managers, traders, operations staff and peers to understand requirements.
3. Develop solutions that are in line with client's technology biases, deliver efficiency and scalability, and enable new trading activities.
4. Provide knowledge transfer to team members and support staff through application demos, walkthroughs, and documentation.

Mandatory Skills:

1. Focus on UI / Front end development
2. Strong Angular: Strong hands-on coding experience with version 17 and above, aware of best practices in UI / UX design, understanding of data binding.
3. Strong Python: Fundamental knowledge of the technology, hands on coding experience, experience with Python Pandas, independently handle installation of Python technical components.
4. Cloud Technology preferably AWS: MWAA (Airflow) experience, worked on services like RDS, S3 buckets etc. or equivalent in other Cloud platforms.

Nice to have:

1. Experience with web frameworks like Flask, FastAPI
2. SQL experience (preferably with SQL Alchemy)
3. Agile/scrum/Jira/confluence
4. Capital markets/investment industry experience
