As BBA continues to grow, we’re looking for a project manager who is familiar with a consulting engineering environment and can help meet the needs of a growing number of clients. As such, you’ll be required to:

1. Provide influential leadership to ensure the success of your assigned projects.
2. Plan, lead and control project delivery in accordance with the BBA mandate and to client satisfaction as well as that of the organization, your team members and other stakeholders.
3. Manage stakeholder expectations.
4. Proactively manage and resolve technical, financial, schedule and human resource issues in a timely manner to mitigate potential variances.
5. Manage project risks and implement ways to eliminate or mitigate them.
6. Ensure the health and safety policy is implemented by qualified personnel who are trained for the work to be carried out for projects.
7. Ensure the quality of professional services rendered, in accordance with the practices associated with the quality management system to preserve BBA’s professional image.
8. Significantly participate in the firm’s business development and produce proposals.
9. Integrate available resources into projects to maximize development of BBA’s skills (multi-level teams).
10. Select the appropriate personnel to ensure technical risks are controlled in collaboration with department managers.
11. Serve as a coach to work teams.

Overview Of Certifications And Job Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
2. Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec
3. Twenty years of relevant work experience
4. Experience in managing medium to large EPCM and EPC projects in the mining or heavy industry sectors
5. Experience managing preliminary studies
6. Experience managing multidisciplinary engineering teams and project control, procurement and construction management teams
7. In-depth knowledge of methodology for modern project management
8. Efficient time management and decision-making skills
9. Ability to maintain collaborative relationships with personnel, clients and suppliers
10. Strong negotiation skills
11. Excellent written and spoken communication (English and French)
12. Advanced knowledge of MS Office
13. Asset: PMP certification from the Project Management Institute
14. Asset: experience with construction sites
15. Asset: experience managing international projects
16. Asset: experience managing projects carried out in a joint venture or other form of partnership
