Wage: CAD $250,000
Location(s) of work: 400, 5700 Explorer Drive, Ontario L4W 0C6 Canada. May be required to travel to worksite locations across Ontario.

What you will be working on:
- Develop and execute comprehensive project plans specifically tailored for nuclear construction, encompassing timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Navigate and interpret complex nuclear safety regulations, working closely with regulatory bodies to secure necessary permits and approvals.
- Uphold the highest standards of nuclear safety throughout all project phases.
- Develop, manage, and maintain new and existing client, consultant, and trade relationships.
- Actively pursue and obtain new projects for Bird that fit division marketing plan and business model.
- Confirm that estimate/cost plan incorporates value for the owner, accommodates the consultant’s design intent and the targeted profitability.
- Identify and assess potential risks inherent to nuclear construction, devising and implementing strategic mitigation plans.
- Conduct the negotiation and oversee the preparation and execution of the prime contract.
- Ensure project health, safety and environmental standards meet or exceed legislated requirements and company policy.
- Know project critical issues at all times and ensure the project team has followed up to address issues to the satisfaction of all stakeholders.
- Assume the overall day to day project management responsibility for at least one Major Project within the region.
What we are looking for:
- 10+ years of active, relevant and applicable management experience in the construction industry.
- Strong understanding of nuclear safety regulations, codes, and standards.
- Track record of successfully leading complex nuclear construction projects.
- Proven ability to ensure a successful completion of projects, their profitability, and for retaining owners as continuing clients of the company.
Required Education:
- A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management or a related field.
