Job description

We are looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to manage the organization of key client projects.

As our Senior Project Manager, your job will be to coordinate people and processes to ensure that our projects are delivered on time and produce the desired results.

You will be the go-to person for everything involving a project's organization and timeline, including developing detailed project schedules, plans, user stories, ensuring resource availability and allocation, and delivering every project on time within budget and scope.

Responsibilities

  1. Manage each project's scope and timeline
  2. Develop high-level and detailed schedules
  3. Coordinate sprints, retrospective meetings, and daily stand-ups
  4. Coach team members in Agile frameworks, waterfall, and iterative methodologies
  5. Facilitate internal communication and effective collaboration
  6. Be the point of contact for external communications (e.g., from clients or stakeholders)
  7. Work with product owners to handle backlogs and new requests
  8. Resolve conflicts and remove obstacles that occur
  9. Ensure deliverables are up to quality standards at the end of each sprint
  10. Help build a productive environment where team members 'own' the product and enjoy working on it
  11. Provide end-to-end project management
  12. Scope project requirements and prepare budget
  13. Develop a detailed project plan and monitor progress
  14. Collaborate with internal teams to design, develop, and implement mobile applications
  15. Communicate with the team and ensure all members are on board with delegated tasks
  16. Highlight potential risks or malfunctions and act proactively to resolve issues
  17. Seek opportunities for improvement and suggest new projects
  18. Help establish governance and a working PMO

Requirements

  1. Must reside in the Greater Vancouver area
  2. 10+ years experience in Portfolio, Project, or Program Management
  3. Excellent knowledge of Scrum techniques and artifacts (such as definition of done, user stories, automated testing, backlog refinement)
  4. Good knowledge of Agile frameworks, waterfall, and iterative project methodologies
  5. Excellent communication and leadership skills
  6. Problem-solving and conflict-resolution ability
  7. Familiarity with JIRA and Confluence
  8. Excellent organization and time management skills
  9. Communication and team management skills

Additional Preferred Requirements:

  1. Experience working on 10+ Million Dollar USD projects
  2. Experience in a scrum master role
  3. Proven work experience as a Mobile Project Manager
  4. Degree in Computer Science, Business, or similar field
  5. Formal Project Management Certification: PMP, Prince2, Agile Certified

This job is open to all candidates in Canada, but it is a requirement to be located onsite at the Vancouver office. Relocation support is NOT provided.
