Job Summary:
The Project Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and finalizing projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This role involves coordinating the efforts of team members and/or third-party contractors and/or consultants to deliver projects according to plan. The Project Manager will also define the project’s objectives and oversee quality control throughout its life cycle.
Most of our projects support clients in infrastructure asset management, so candidates with similar experience are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning: Develop comprehensive project plans that merge customer requirements with company goals and coordinate various managers and technical personnel during all project phases, from initial development through implementation.
- Scope Management: Define and verify project scope, goals, and deliverables that support customer business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
- Resource Management: Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path, ensuring resource availability and allocation.
- Risk Management: Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.
- Communication: Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion. Facilitate project meetings and distribute minutes to all project team members.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope, and within budget. Conduct project post-mortems and create recommendations reports to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.
- Product Knowledge: High-level understanding of the dTIMS software suite and how our clients use core functionality or willing to learn it fast.
- Documentation: Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations.
Job Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Certification: PMP certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI) is an asset.
- Experience: 7 to 10 years of project management experience, including tracking and planning projects.
Skills:
- Strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices.
- Experience with process improvement, asset management and inventory control.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.
- Strong technical knowledge.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Leadership: Ability to lead project teams of various sizes and see them through to completion.
- Problem-solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively under pressure.
- Teamwork: Strong team-building skills and ability to work collaboratively with others.
