Autodesk, the leader in 3D design, engineering, and entertainment software, is seeking a visionary product leader to drive long-term strategic planning and platform growth within the Platform Services and Emerging Technologies group.

As a product leader, you will own and execute the roadmap for our internal platform capabilities by translating strategy into actionable steps that reduce toil, enhance developer productivity, and drive Autodesk’s platform vision forward. Your ability to conduct industry research and benchmarking will be critical in setting internal platform goals and ensuring Autodesk remains at the forefront of developer experience and productivity. Additionally, you will play a key role in shaping and expanding Autodesk’s internal platform to enable data and AI-centric workflows, enabling large-scale AI-driven solutions and insights across the organization.

At Autodesk, you will work within an inclusive culture that advocates and celebrates diversity while offering competitive and equitable salaries, generous benefits, exciting career growth opportunities, and a strong work-life balance.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute long-term strategic plans, aligning with Autodesk’s broader platform vision and goals

  • Conduct industry research and benchmarking to identify trends, best practices, and opportunities, leveraging insights to shape internal platform goals and strategy

  • Use a lean product mindset to drive product decisions and roadmap development, ensuring alignment with customer and business needs

  • Define and track product success using qualitative and quantitative measures

  • Document user needs through workflows, use cases, and customer journeys to ensure a deep understanding of developer challenges and opportunities

  • Manage stakeholder expectations through frequent, clear communication of vision, strategy, and product roadmap

  • Collaborate with designers and researchers to advocate for, plan, and execute user research and solution validation initiatives

  • Practice facilitative leadership to drive decision-making and prioritization, fostering a high-impact team and product outcomes

  • Contribute to the product management culture at Autodesk by mentoring and sharing best practices

Minimum Qualifications

  • Advanced expertise in product management (6-8 years experience), with a strong background in strategic planning and execution

  • Deep experience conducting industry research, competitive analysis, and benchmarking to inform platform strategies

  • Proven ability to translate specialized subject-matter requirements into business needs and strategic objectives

  • Ability to work independently, with close guidance only in the most complex or unusual situations

  • Effective communicator capable of influencing various stakeholders, including senior leaders, and driving alignment across teams

  • Experience leading cross-functional teams or programs, particularly within platform development, developer tooling, or internal productivity solutions

This role is an opportunity to make a significant impact on the future of Autodesk’s platform, enabling developers to be more productive and innovative. If you have a passion for developer experience, long-term strategic planning, and leveraging industry insights to shape platform direction, we’d love to hear from you.
