About the role

Our growing team is looking for a Senior Product Engineering Developer for Cybersecurity product engineering.

We are looking for experienced software developers to form a team building IFC’s enterprise security technologies and integrating with enterprise applications and business solutions.

What you will do here:

  1. Design, develop, implement, and customize technical solutions for new and existing security products or for enhancements to new/future releases.
  2. Lead development of requirements and user experiences, understanding the impact of architecture on overall solution.
  3. Lead proof-of-concept (POC) for medium to large initiatives; implement prototypes to validate product features, functions, and confirm ideas.
  4. Design for conformity between deployment environments, scalability, security, and flexibility.
  5. Perform root cause analysis, interpret the results, and develop action plans and priorities for backlogs (finding short- and long-term solutions); lead implementation of the plan.
  6. Investigate and fix complex defects.
  7. Independently handle and provide support in solving software/system monitoring issues and escalations which require complex technical expertise to troubleshoot.
  8. Provide input for configuration activities such as baselines, alerts, dashboards, etc.
  9. Review critical tickets/incidents for lower levels to ensure accuracy; provide input into monitoring systems and lead resolution process for critical issues that affect multiple applications or groups.
  10. Aid development teams by providing guidance on observability best practices and implementations.
  11. Assist in tracking and reporting of costs.
  12. Research and propose solutions for automation of deployments.

What you bring to the table:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, computer science or other related disciplines.
  2. Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  3. 5+ years of software development experience.
  4. Experience building application and infrastructure automation (IaC) on cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  5. Experience with unit/integration/end-to-end/performance testing.
  6. Good understanding of design patterns, scalability patterns, security engineering, and object-oriented principles.
  7. Autonomous with a continuous improvement mindset.
  8. Attention to detail and user experience focus.
  9. Value owning problems and solutions from start to finish, including driving collaboration with Product and Design.
  10. Enjoy being part of a highly collaborative, cross-functional, remote-friendly environment.
  11. No Canadian work experience required; however, must be eligible to work in Canada.

Bonus points if you have:

  1. Security certifications as an asset (CISSP, CCSP, cloud platforms certifications, etc.).
  2. 1+ years of experience in implementing, automating one or more Cybersecurity technologies such as identity and access management (IAM) (PAM, SCIM, SPML, FIDO, U2F, WebAuthn, SSO, SAML, OAuth/OpenID, Federation, etc.), SIEM, data protection, application security, vulnerability management.
  3. Experience with Angular or React, JavaScript, Python, Java, C/C++.
  4. Hands-on experience in building solutions using AWS (or GCP, Azure equivalent) services such as AWS Lambda, Amazon EC2, AWS Fargate, Amazon CloudWatch, Amazon SQS, Amazon SNS, and Amazon SES is a strong plus.
