The Plant Human Resources Manager will be accountable for delivering human resources support for a manufacturing facility. This challenging and hands-on HR position supports the manufacturing plant through partnering and driving the implementation of HR processes and initiatives throughout the plant, promoting a results-oriented and performance-driven culture. The role also interfaces with the plant manufacturing team on critical HR initiatives.

The Plant Human Resources Manager should have:
Strong interpersonal and communication skills for leading union relationships
Experience with employee engagement initiatives and culture transformation projects
Experience with data management
Ability to manage the discipline process
Expertise in coaching and counseling management teams and employees
Strong collaboration abilities
The Plant Human Resources Manager will:
Ensure the execution of talent management processes including workforce planning, recruiting & staffing, performance management, employee development, and succession planning in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
Be responsible for Manufacturing organizational effectiveness (MOE) and organizational health.
Optimize personnel performance and efficiency.
Support the manufacturing plant by providing strategic HR counsel and driving the company’s HR practices.
Overview operations schedules and overtime needs by working closely with operations teams.
Oversee administrative HR responsibilities.
Be responsible for governmental annual report filing.
Work closely with the Paymaster to ensure accurate employee payments, and address escalating issues.
Evaluate current HR practices and make recommendations for best-in-class solutions for contemporary HR issues.
Drive a high level of employee engagement.
Qualifications
Bachelor degree required
At least 5 to 7 years of professional HR experience in a 24/7 manufacturing environment
HR systems and tech-savvy
Must have a CHRP certification
Experience in a union environment
Candidate must be fluid in written and spoken English.
