Senior Personal Injury Law Clerk (Tort)
Job description
Our client, a boutique law firm in Brampton serving clients throughout Ontario, is seeking a full-time Personal Injury Law Clerk with at least 5 years of relevant experience to join their dynamic and growing practice.
Your new role
In this role, you will be responsible for independently managing and carrying Tort files from file opening to closing. You will be required to draft legal documents, e.g., affidavit of documents, undertakings, motion records. You will be working directly under the supervision and direction of one of the firm's Lawyers. Additionally, you will assist the lawyer with the completion of Motion Records, Pre-Trial Memorandums, Case Conference Summaries, and Mediation Memorandums.
What you will need to succeed
To be considered for this position, you must have a minimum of 5 years of Personal Injury experience with an emphasis on Tort. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are necessary to draft correspondence and legal documents, schedule meetings, and communicate effectively with clients, witnesses, and other professionals. You must be knowledgeable with preparing LAT Applications and Case Conference Summaries. A Law Clerk diploma from a recognized institution will be an asset.
