About The Role

As a Senior Parts Specialist you will support the growing Spare Parts Business at Westinghouse Canada Manufacturing Operations in multiple aspects of bidding/proposal work and execution of awarded orders.

You will report to the Manufacturing Manager, and work on-site at our Peterborough, Ontario, facility.

Main Responsibilities

1. Work with the Parts Product Line Manager to lead internal estimates for spare parts opportunities
2. Determine make/buy decisions for parts and components
3. Work within the SAP environment to create material masters and requisitions
4. Oversee the successful launch of newly awarded Parts orders, including kickoff and initiation.
5. Collaborate with sales, project, engineering, design and operations in their planning processes and scheduling with work-in-progress production updates, fabrication completion and delivery updates.
6. Assist production leaders to create and instruct credible production plans and schedules that balance available capacity and resources.
7. Plan and manage inventory for work in progress, including surplus and excess inventory.

Qualifications

1. College Diploma graduate
2. 3+ years minimum experience in project-based manufacturing environment, with an emphasis on Spare Parts Supply
3. Canadian Nuclear (CANDU) experience including site assignments an asset
4. Experience in production planning and control.
5. Inventory planning
6. Communicate well with others to convey information.
7. Familiar with reading blueprints / drawings and schematics
8. SAP or similar MRP system experience an asset.
