Job Description:

TD Merchant Solutions (TDMS) provides reliable, flexible and easy to use card payment solutions to corporate, commercial and small business clients. A wide selection of payment processing solutions includes Point of Sale (POS) terminals, PC Software and E-Commerce card processing solutions that allow businesses to authorize and settle their payment card transactions electronically, whether the payment is debit or credit card. TD is the only bank in Canada which directly operates a merchant processor/acquirer, resulting in unique opportunities and challenges in a highly competitive environment.

Responsibilities:

Providing support in a 24x7x365 environment, the Senior Operations Analyst will report to the Pod Product Owner II. The Senior Operations Analyst will be a key Subject Matter Expert on various projects and initiatives within TDMS. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent time management skills; results driven and able to manage complex business demands.

Key Accountabilities:
  • Ensure that systems and applications used by TD Merchant Solutions meet its processing needs, are executed error free and within SLA's.
  • Ensure that processing is executed in accordance to all card brand regulations, association regulations and according to internal and external audit requirements.
  • Support other business areas within Merchant Solutions with their operational needs.
  • Support and facilitate projects and initiatives within the Merchant Solutions group.
  • Investigate and resolve EUC and Job Aid (Macro) production issues.
  • Analyze all production issues ensuring minimal user impact and mitigation plans developed/implemented to prevent recurrence.
  • Coordinate system/process changes with technology and business partners.
  • Prepare/update reporting procedures and verification documentation for new/revised reporting processes.
  • Identify and recommend process improvements and/or automation opportunities to enhance the productivity and operational efficiency within MS O&I.

Education/Accreditations:
  • A post-secondary education or equivalent experience.

Other Qualifications/Skills/Experience:

The successful candidate will have:
  • Overall knowledge of TDMS products and processes is an asset.
  • Experience working in Agile and Kanban is an asset.
  • Strong business acumen.
  • Ability to manage strong relationships within and across multiple businesses and technology groups.
  • Experience in a 'Business Analyst' type position - the ability to translate user requirements into technical requirements, author procedure manuals, manage change control processes, etc.
  • The ability to communicate complex situations and ideas in a clear, simple, and understandable manner.
  • A strong knowledge of TDMS systems, processes and procedures, mixed with technical Computer / software skills.
  • A high degree of accuracy in completing work and demonstrated problem solving capabilities.
  • The ability to manage concurrent priorities and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • An enthusiastic, positive and cooperative individual who can work independently and function well in a team environment.
  • Project management skills would be an asset.
  • Desire to be challenged to constantly acquire new knowledge and skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tool suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint etc).
