P&G Canada's Brand Operations Team is a strong multi-functional team comprised of expert media leaders focused on building industry leading media expertise, capabilities, and go to market strategies that drive media enabled growth across the P&G brand portfolio. Brand Operations works in close collaboration with P&G Canadian brand teams, NA and Global media teams, and local agency and media partners. P&G is looking for a Senior Media Manager to join us full-time in Toronto as soon as possible. The Senior Media Manager will be accountable for identifying, building, and managing media capabilities and go to market strategies that continue to fuel media driven growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Identify, Build, and Manage Central Capabilities to enable the category in-house media teams to step-change media driven growth.
  2. Drive thought leadership across key media spend-pools, including Linear TV, to drive best in class results across reach, effectiveness and efficiency.
  3. Lead centralized media operations including budget management, media stewardship and agency governance.
  4. Lead Media Training & Knowledge Building for P&G.
  5. Manage agency and key supplier relationships; Forge new partnerships based on the changing landscape and evaluate existing and emerging media opportunities.
  6. Drive Best in Class partnership between P&G category teams, P&G US & Global media teams, and agency and media partners.

Job Qualifications

  1. Minimum of College Degree/Certificate; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  2. 7+ years strategic media experience preferably with a media agency or multichannel national advertising client.
  3. Strong Analytic Skills and the ability to triangulate between data, brand goals and opportunities.
  4. Media Expertise:
    1. 7+ years of media planning experience - advanced understanding of all/most media vehicles and channels.
    2. Experience leveraging industry standard planning tools & data sets to enable and train category media managers.
    3. Strong knowledge of the typical processes and tools utilized by buying/investment teams across all media types, particularly TV, programmatic buying, reserved digital, social and search.
  5. Strong Management Skills:
    1. Proven skills at managing multiple stakeholders and multiple priorities, balancing short and long term needs and implications.
    2. Effective communication skills – able to leverage verbal and written communication to drive action; able to present and sell ideas to senior management.
    3. Ability to operate with discipline - relentless attention to detail and strong project management skills.
