argenx is a global immunology company committed to improving the lives of people suffering from severe autoimmune diseases. In partnership with leading academic researchers through its Immunology Innovation Program (IIP), argenx aims to translate immunology breakthroughs into a world-class portfolio of novel antibody-based medicines.
argenx developed and is commercializing VYVGART (efgartigimod alfa), the first approved neonatal Fc receptor (FcRn) blocker in Canada, the USA, Japan, Israel, the EU, the UK, and China. VYVGART is the first and only antibody fragment that blocks the neonatal Fc receptor (FcRn). VYVGART’s novel mechanism-of-action precisely targets the underlying disease pathogenesis of autoimmune disorders, namely pathogenic IgG autoantibodies. VYVGART was approved in Canada for generalized Myasthenia Gravis (gMG) in 2023, and it is currently being evaluated in several other serious autoimmune diseases.
