About This Team

This role is responsible for pre-production and bulk production management for all 3rd party embellishment for the wholesale/licensed partners business and Read & React (R&R) programs. Collaborates closely with Design, Product Development, Merchandising, Global Supply Chain, Planning, and Sales to deliver seasonal product assortments that meet product design, on-time delivery, cost, and quality goals. Effectively manages a team of 8-10 Senior Production Leads, Production Leads, and Analysts.

A Day in the Life

Leads a team of 8-10 to…

  1. Analyze vendors' capabilities and capacity to allocate orders strategically.
  2. Develop new embellishment techniques to fulfill market trends.
  3. Build production Time and Action Calendar (T&A) per season – ensure cross-functional partners are aligned with key dates and are updating T&A regularly.
  4. Track the status of INDC, development, buy ready, order placement, and production schedule to maintain required ex-factory dates.
  5. Lead costing negotiations and strategic sourcing efforts to achieve the target price.
  6. Create and maintain SOPs to drive operational excellence.
  7. Establish the Wholesale Production team as a valued partner and POC for Wholesale leadership and in support of the overall wholesale growth strategy.
  8. Lead and develop a team of 8-10 production leads/Sr. Leads and Analysts.

In addition to team management/development, the Senior Production Manager will be responsible for…

  1. Key POC to participate as a SME and production leader in key account initiatives, negotiations, working sessions, and resolution of key issues.
  2. Help set and implement key Production strategies including, but not limited to, bringing on new embellishment capacity, identifying new embellishment techniques, and implementing new operating model capabilities.
  3. Drive continuous improvement in production performance metrics and process efficiencies.
  4. Key member/leader within the Wholesale Supply Chain leadership team in driving towards key strategic initiatives and long goals including reduction in average embellishment costs (to meet cost goals), reduction of production lead-times, and establishing operating model capabilities to support the long-term growth/scaling of the North American Wholesale business.

Qualifications

  1. 10+ years apparel industry experience (preferably within the Production and Sourcing).
  2. Strong knowledge of apparel construction, fabrics, trims, decoration techniques, and costing.
  3. Experience in wholesale business and campus/teams strongly preferred.
  4. Proven experience in project management with multiple functions and business partners.
  5. Strong analytic skills, strategic thinking, and ability to approach key decisions and undefined challenges in a structured way.
  6. Facilitation and issue resolution skills; ability to drive consensus.
  7. Ability to work and deliver in changing environments, under limited guidance while adhering to specified deadlines.
  8. Strong ability to work independently within the structure of a team.
  9. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite products.
  10. Passion to learn new things and love to travel.

Compensation and Benefits Package

lululemon’s compensation offerings are grounded in a pay-for-performance philosophy that recognizes exceptional individual and team performance. The typical hiring range for this position is from $134,100-176,000 annually; the base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards offering, permanent employees in this position may be eligible for our competitive annual bonus program, subject to program eligibility requirements.
