We’re seeking a hands-on technical leader to architect resilient, future-ready systems across our smart rental properties while fostering innovation.

What You’ll Do

Hands-On Technical Leadership

• Direct oversight of Cisco/Meraki network deployments, including firewall configurations, VLAN segmentation, and proactive WiFi optimization for tenant connectivity.
• Build prototypes for smart building solutions (e.g., IoT-based HVAC controls, app-enabled access systems) using Python/APIs.
• Troubleshoot complex outages and lead quarterly cybersecurity penetration tests (e.g., phishing simulations, vulnerability scans).
• Automate SaaS audits (SSO, Salesforce) via scripting tools to enforce least-privilege access.

Strategic Innovation & Vision

• Define KPIs for technology ROI: Reduce building energy costs and process automation.
• Partner with construction teams to pioneer AI/ML applications (e.g., predictive maintenance alerts using BIM data).
• Champion a Zero Trust cybersecurity framework, including quarterly incident response drills.

Resourceful Problem Solving

• Identify cost-effective solutions to modernize legacy systems (e.g., hybrid Cloud migrations, retrofitting IoT sensors).
• Align tech rollouts with fast-paced construction timelines (e.g. pre-configuring network infrastructure for construction projects).
• Host quarterly team hackathons to prototype IoT tools that enhance tenant experiences.

Team & Culture Mentorship

• Mentor IT engineers in cloud migration (Azure/365) and infrastructure-as-code best practices.
• Manage vendor relationships for smart building integrations (e.g., Meraki, Procore, Yardi).
• Promote a culture of technical experimentation: “Fail fast, learn faster” with R&D sprints.

What You’ll Bring

Technical Expertise

• 5+ years in hands-on network/system administration (Cisco, Meraki firewalls, 365, SaaS/IaaS platforms).
• Proficiency in scripting (Python, PowerShell) and API integrations.
• Certifications: CCNP, CISSP, Microsoft Azure, or equivalent.

Leadership

• Track record of managing cross-functional teams through complex tech deployments.
• Ability to coach engineers while directly resolving tier-3 escalations.

Vision

• Proven success aligning tech roadmaps with business outcomes (e.g., cost savings, tenant satisfaction).
• Passion for emerging PropTech (smart sensors, BIM analytics).
