The Senior Manager of Strategic Initiatives contributes to the success of Sur La Table by leading development, innovation, and strategic plans and projects for the digital/ecommerce team. Partners with cross functional teams and senior business leaders to solve complex business problems and provides support to ensure actions and execution of projects and tasks, leading to improved business performance. Will help define KPIs for strategic initiatives and report out on a regular basis. The successful candidate will be comfortable setting and achieving aspirational goals for growth and efficiency to support overall digital growth. This position will report into the VP and General Manager, E-Commerce.

- Lead cross-functional teams during project phases from ideation, discovery, business requirements gathering through completion.
- Create ROI models for new projects.
- Assist in driving long term strategy based on business needs.
- Ensure SOW is delivered as outlined for special projects.
- Identify issues impacting the success of projects, provide solutions to help mitigate risk.
- Communicate KPIs – status, risk, success of strategic projects across teams.
- Be the point of contact with strategic partners.
- Provide topline weekly business insights.
What you bring to the role:
- Bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of experience in a highly analytical or a consulting role for an omni channel brand.
- At least 5 years of direct leadership, indirect leadership and/or cross functional team leadership.
- Structures ambiguous problems.
- Applies critical problem-solving skills by breaking issues apart and formulating hypotheses. Creates analytical work streams to prove or disprove hypotheses.
- Synthesizes clear takeaways from complex information and formulates recommendations and action plans, using both qualitative and quantitative methods.
- Must be naturally curious and resourceful.
- Experience leading budgeting exercises.
- At least 3 years of experience in ecommerce / marketing technology.
- At least 3 years of experience contributing to financial decisions.
- Experience driving product roadmaps.
- Understand demand forecasting.
- Experience driving growth through paid channels.
