The Senior Manager, Programs Operations will be responsible for developing and managing both new and existing initiatives of entrepreneurship@UBC in association with the Associate Director, developing operational policies and procedures internally for the organization, and in close collaboration with the executive team, the management of logistics for 100+ events per year. This role is also accountable for the data analytics needs of the unit, including the management of data reporting by current and alumni ventures, regular analysis and reporting of statistics to multiple stakeholders (including the entrepreneurship@UBC Management Team, the Innovation UBC Management Team, VPRI, UBC Faculties and Departments, and external stakeholders and constituents), and the organization and administration of software systems to support venture success.
Reporting to, and working closely with, the Associate Director and other team members, this position requires the continuous identification of process improvements, with a focus on improving productivity and workflow efficiencies.
Reports to the Associate Director at entrepreneurship@UBC (entrepreneurship@UBC).
Decisions directly affect the effective and efficient operation of the entrepreneurship@UBC unit and the VPRI portfolio, entrepreneurial programming within the faculties, and potential success of new ventures.
This position manages projects independently and exercises independent judgment and initiative in addressing complex issues.
This position manages the Program Specialist roles.
Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline. Minimum of five years of related experience, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
MBA or Master’s degree in a relevant discipline preferred. Experience in venture-creation or venture incubation/acceleration an asset.
