Senior Manager, Pharmacy Care Clinics, Pharmacy Services
This role will be located at our Toronto Central Office located at 243 Consumers Road, Toronto, Ontario, M2J 4W8.
Reporting into the Senior Director of Pharmacy Services, this role will be focused on enabling the offering of Patient Care Services in Shoppers Drug Mart and Pharmaprix Pharmacy Care Clinics with the goal to provide better access to Patient Care in the communities they serve.
This position does not supervise any other position; however, it does require the ability to collaborate cross-functionally to help pharmacists and their teams optimize clinic care delivery through new and refined resources, tools and training to achieve quality patient care. This position is also responsible for solving store level barriers faced by the pharmacy team when necessary, including bringing back pharmacy level observations so that processes, procedures, and/or systems can be adjusted or enhanced as necessary.
Service Offering & Program Management: Develop and maintain pharmacy care clinic services, including program structures, fees, and billing models, ensuring alignment with provincial regulations.
Pharmacy Visits & Coaching: Plan, coordinate, and conduct pharmacy visits to gather insights, provide coaching, and support pharmacy teams in optimizing clinic care delivery.
Feedback & Reporting: Create pre- and post-visit summaries, offering actionable feedback to internal stakeholders. Identify and address challenges faced at the store level, providing insights to enhance systems, processes, and procedures.
Documentation & Communication: Develop and update job aids, implementation guides, checklists, and comprehensive communications regarding new program launches, tools, and processes.
Tool Enhancement & Support: Propose improvements and assist in the development of pharmacy services enablement tools, including digital assets, marketing initiatives, reporting tools, and documentation.
Billing & Reports: Support billing processes and reports to ensure accurate care delivery tracking and reimbursement.
Event Coordination & Training: Organize and facilitate virtual and in-person events for Pharmacy Assistants, Care Concierges, and Pharmacists. Develop and deliver training materials for field resources such as Regional Directors and Operations teams.
Performance Monitoring & Data Analytics: Utilize data to support clinic optimization and performance analysis, ensuring efficient operations and high-quality patient care.
Project Management: Lead or support cross-functional project planning and management, ensuring timely and successful completion of multiple initiatives.
Skills: This position requires an advanced level of initiative and judgment to organize and prioritize tasks, workload, and projects.
Experience: 3 years of pharmacy experience, preferably in a retail setting. Experience with Shoppers Drug Mart or Pharmaprix is an asset.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy or PharmD.
Licensure: Must be a licensed pharmacist in Canada and hold a valid driver’s license.
Languages: Fully bilingual in English and French, with advanced proficiency in both written and spoken communication.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; experience with data analysis and presentation creation is essential.
Business Acumen: Strong understanding of operational improvement, strategic planning, and business growth principles.
Problem Solving: Ability to innovate and apply creative problem-solving approaches to enhance processes and achieve organizational goals.
Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly to diverse audiences.
