Position Overview

In this critical role, you will partner with key stakeholders within Learning & Talent Management, Human Resources, Culture, Diversity, and Belonging, and functional business units to assess leadership development needs. You will leverage your design, development, and delivery expertise to align leadership learning content across various levels of leadership, prioritize projects, programs, and experiences against strategic initiatives, and drive program advocacy and adoption. You will also influence matrixed, cross-functional teams in the coordination and delivery of high-impact, scalable, global learning programs that meet business objectives and embody our Culture Code.

As a leadership development subject matter expert, you will ensure materials are of high quality, meet identified learning outcomes, are guided by adult learning principles, and integrate best practices and current industry trends with innovative ideas.

This role in the interim will report into the Vice President, Talent Acquisition and will be based in Canada (Toronto, Montreal or Vancouver) in a remote capacity.

Responsibilities

  1. Manage the design, development, and delivery of learning content and programs for leaders at all levels to foster the development of key competencies, knowledge, and skills.
  2. Provide leadership development subject matter expertise to programming within your remit and support leadership development efforts led by peers within and outside of the People and Places (HR) team.
  3. Ensure the Learning & Talent Management extended leadership and Enablement teams have clear, concise, and up-to-date information on your team’s progress against key strategic deliverables.
  4. Oversee program budgets and participation levels, ensuring programs deliver on expectations.
  5. Maximize the use of technology available to deploy learning solutions enterprise-wide.
  6. Evaluate current learning programs regularly to offer insight on opportunities for improvement and remain responsive to developing trends, evolving company strategy, and industry best practices.
  7. Facilitate live virtual and in-person events as needed, such as program sessions, panels, and leadership development resource “road shows.”
  8. Partner with internal and external resources (including vendors) to develop learning materials and experiences, and report on impact and feedback.
  9. Collaborate with People Operations colleagues, subject matter experts, and other stakeholders to ensure learning programs align with organizational objectives, values, and operational excellence processes.
  10. Partner with cross-functional leadership development colleagues to align content, provide governance, and facilitate collaboration and best practice sharing.
  11. Work with internal sourcing and finance teams to ensure timely and accurate operational processes.
  12. Evaluate current and prospective learning design and delivery tools, technologies, and partners to support continuous innovation and learning effectiveness.
  13. Leverage your people management experience to design and deliver leadership development programs that effectively prepare new and existing people leaders for success.

Minimum Qualifications

  1. 8+ years of experience in the design, development, and delivery of leadership development programs with digital components and live instruction.
  2. Skilled at developing and maintaining effective internal relationships. Adept at collaborating within a highly matrixed, cross-geo, cross-functional environment.
  3. Extensive knowledge of adult learning theory, leadership competency development, program design, curriculum design principles, instructional design (in-person, virtual, and on-demand formats), and evaluation methodology/practice.

  1. Willingness to work at both strategic and operational levels, with strong process and detail orientation.
  2. Apply your expertise in human-centered design to create user-centric leadership development programs that meet the unique needs and preferences of our diverse workforce.
  3. Experience evaluating and managing vendor partnerships.
  4. Deep familiarity with the latest trends and technologies in adult learning and behavior change.
  5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  6. Excellent virtual and in-person workshop delivery/facilitation skills.
  7. Highly self-driven and motivated; proactive with a strong entrepreneurial mindset.
  8. Willingness to accept feedback and iterate to improve processes or products.
  9. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  10. Ability to work with ambiguity and agility while balancing multiple priorities in a fast-changing environment.
  11. Ability to work effectively with diverse teams in a global, virtual environment.
