The Role
Supports Scotia Wealth Management Marketing in Canada ensuring business strategies, plans and initiatives are executed / delivered in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.
Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:
- Lead and drive a customer focused culture throughout their team to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
- Work closely with Director, SWM Marketing and other marketing partners to develop strategic marketing plans, campaigns and other initiatives in support of SWM business lines including full funnel online and offline strategies and tactics, including (but not limited to) collateral development, external facing websites, content, etc.
- Develop and manage program budgets and creative briefs.
- Be accountable for deploying and measuring marketing and communication campaigns to achieve business line targets for products and/or partnerships.
- Leverage deep product and process expertise, and results-based marketing levers to achieve business objectives and marketing goals including awareness and lead generation.
- Lead the development and execution of strategic business line marketing plans leveraging tactics to drive value and generate revenue. Primary marketing areas of ownership include (but not limited to): digital marketing, content marketing, communications, advertising, direct mail, regional/branch marketing, etc.
- Partner with other business line Marketing and Engagement Marketing teams to deliver integrated end-to-end marketing programs, campaigns and experiences.
- Unite all stakeholders around a unified visual brand and champion creative excellence, using results, and marketing expertise to ensure our marketing is consistently differentiated from our competitors and driving results.
- Drive collaboration with key partners including business lines, digital marketing, partner channels, and legal and compliance teams to deliver initiatives on time and within budget.
- Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.

- Create an environment in which his/her team pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct, and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.
- Build a high-performance environment and implement a people strategy that attracts, retains, develops, and motivates their team by fostering an inclusive work environment. Use a coaching mindset and behaviors; communicate vision/values/business strategy; and manage succession and development planning for the team.
Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? – We’d love to work with you if you have:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations or related field.
- Experience in marketing, brand marketing and/or account management.
- Experience working in a matrix organization.
