Why this role is important?

The Senior Manager, Learning & Development and Engagement will lead activities that build leadership skills and optimize collaboration and engagement across the business. This role will play an active role in the design, development and delivery of the communication strategy and programs that advance the goals of the business through strong leadership performance and engaged teams. In addition, the role will also support HR business partner functions.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead development and roll out onboarding programs to new colleagues.
  • Lead the assessment of the ongoing status of leadership and teamwork across the business.
  • Lead activities to develop and roll out new programs/initiatives to enhance leadership capabilities and improve collaboration and engagement.
  • Responsible for planning and facilitating Core Leadership Development Program (CLDP), multiple cohorts per year.
  • Lead the development and roll out of technical training programs for all colleagues.
  • Partner with business leaders to understand and address teamwork and engagement challenges.
  • Design and support the implementation of targeted initiatives to address challenges (e.g., people survey initiatives).
  • Lead the communication strategy and roll out of key events across the country.
  • Provide guidance and coaching to leaders on employment-related issues including: talent and performance management, absence management, change and people management issues and communication. To the interpretation of company policies & procedures, recruitment and selection strategy, terminations, strategic planning, and benefits administration; in partnership with HR team.
  • Support the delivery and deployment of HR programs and processes and participate in coaching and guiding functional and cross-functional initiatives (Performance Management, Compensation, HiPo, Succession Planning, Engagement Survey, and the Performance Review Cycle).

What You'll Need:

  • University degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or Health Sector related programs.
  • 7-10 years of work experience in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment while managing organizational and operational projects.
  • 5+ years progressive HR Business Partnering experience with demonstrable knowledge in employee relations.
  • Understand change management principles and how to implement them in a graded manner.
  • Experience and knowledge of ESA and Competition Law across all provinces within Canada.
  • Highly effective and persuasive personality, be a teammate and leader and an excellent communicator.
  • Solid digital literacy including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Strong analytic skills and outstanding ability to problem-solve.
