Secondment/Contract Duration: Up to 12 Months

Do you want to influence the Inventory Management transformation? Reporting to the Director, Inventory Flow, you will lead the daily replenishment activities across the LCBO business. You will also work with Merchandise Planning and Demand Planning teams to ensure that we are leading the OTB and guide high forecast accuracy, in-stocks and warehouse fill rates.

About the Role:

  • Ensure daily product replenishment purchases are appropriate and managed within the Financial Inventory plans and Open-To-Buy parameters.
  • Work with the Category Management team and the Agent/Supplier community and field inventory-related questions from both.
  • Collaborate with both internal/external parties related to planning and replenishment.
  • Review DCM system forecasts and parameters to ensure efficient suggested order quantities related to service level, safety stock, promotions and other system business rules.
  • Run ad hoc reporting; ongoing monitoring of inventory performance, promotional performance or vendor performance.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and strengths and weaknesses of current processes.

About You:

  • Advanced analytical and inventory management skills acquired through post-secondary education and progressively responsible experience in forecasting and replenishment.
  • Experience in Merchandise Financial Planning and Forecasting will be an asset.
  • Outstanding business knowledge (business analysis, inventory management and control, and financial and operational management).
  • Demonstrated leadership experience, along with strong negotiation skills and the ability to take educated risks.
  • Well-developed analytical, problem-solving skills combined with strong communication (verbal and written) and social skills are important to this position.
  • Progressive inventory management experience, with emphasis on inventory management/planning and/or purchasing is required.
  • Experience using DCM, SCMe, Info-Lib software applications, and skills necessary to compile reports and prepare correspondence analytics using Microsoft Office suite (MS Access, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook) is preferred.
  • Able to work under pressure and balance a high-volume workload.
  • Results-oriented and proactive; able to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Experience within a grocery or wholesaling environment and in the Alcoholic Beverage or Consumer Packaged Goods industry is an asset.
