YOUR IMPACT
The Sr. Manager, Global Physical Security – Systems Technology will support the global strategy for physical security technology across our global office portfolio. This role will oversee the integration, scalability, and performance of key security access control and VSM systems and have direct oversight of the Global Security Operations Center (GSOC), ensuring global real-time monitoring and incident response. In this role, you will partner with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure our physical security technology meets both operational performance goals and regulatory compliance across all global regions.
In this capacity, you will be required to apply your strategic expertise to the development of these programs and maximize the value of centralized services, while working cross-functionally with our regional support teams. The role requires effective leading and management of a team, including oversight of their performance, development, and well-being.
WHAT THE ROLE OFFERS
- Support with development and execution of a global strategy for physical security systems and technologies that aligns with OpenText’s overall security goals.
- Build, lead, and mentor a team of security technology professionals, ensuring high levels of engagement and performance.
- Lead the design and integration of physical security technology, including access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, perimeter security, and emergency response systems.
- Oversee the Global Security Operations Center (GSOC), ensuring that monitoring and response capabilities are consistently maintained and aligned with real-time global threats and incidents.
- Oversee the global access control program, ensuring consistency and security across all offices.
- Drive innovation by researching and implementing emerging technologies such as AI, IoT, and advanced analytics to enhance security capabilities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, cybersecurity, facilities, and legal, to ensure a unified approach to physical security systems.
- Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of security systems across global offices.
- Lead global projects involving system upgrades, migrations, and new deployments.
- Ensure all security technology is maintained in line with operational performance goals and regulatory requirements.
- Lead vendor selection processes, develop SoWs, partner with Procurement on contract negotiations and oversee performance metrics to ensure cost-effectiveness and system reliability.
- Develop and oversee cost management process for physical security technology, including annual budget development and spend reconciliations.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities while ensuring the quality and effectiveness of security systems.
- Act as the primary point of contact for physical security systems technology within Opentext.
- Work closely with regional security teams to ensure that GSOC operations provide consistent and reliable security oversight for all locations.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
- A dynamic, highly motivated individual who can help develop and execute a solid strategy for a comprehensive global safety and security program.
- Demonstrated knowledge of global physical security standards, regulations, and best practices.
- Extensive experience with access control systems, video surveillance, intrusion detection, and other physical security technologies.
- Proven ability to manage global programs and oversee large-scale technology deployments.
- Strong project management skills, with a track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
- Proven experience in managing global, cross-functional teams in a large, complex organization.
- Extensive experience working with external vendors, including contract negotiations, vendor performance management, and project delivery.
- Flexible and open to change to improve the global security strategic framework.
- Excellent relationship management skills; motivation to work with cross-functional teams in a global environment.
- Flexibility in work schedule/ability to respond to after-hour or extended events globally.
- 10+ years of experience in physical security systems, with at least 3 years in a management role.
- Bachelor’s degree/diploma/certificate in security management, risk, business, or related field, or equivalent related professional experience.
- Professional certifications related to the global impact of the role such as CPP, PSP, PMP.
