Leads and oversees EPMO / Enterprise Portfolio Management & Strategy Execution globally ensuring business strategies, plans and initiatives are executed / delivered in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.
Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:
- Leads and drives a customer focused culture throughout their team to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
- Responsible for governing and compliance monitoring of the enterprise project portfolio, supporting the divisional portfolio management offices and enhancing the project/portfolio management process.
- Monitoring the total portfolio compliance to SIP Policy and Standards.
- Working with Divisional PMOs (DPMO) to ensure portfolio compliance.
- Reporting compliance levels to DPMOs and management committees, as well as executive level and OSFI reporting.
- Recommending and obtaining buy-in on mitigation activities for material non-compliance activities.
- Develops project and portfolio insights and opportunities for systemic improvements, leveraging Excel, macros, PowerBI, etc.
- Strong relationship and change management.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including project teams, DPMOs, governance groups and control functions.
- Practice and advocate change management methods and practices when deploying portfolio changes.
- Effective collaboration and communications within and outside of the team.
- The incumbent is also responsible for the development and continued enhancement of processes and tools.
- Build and maintain a control and process repository for EPMO (for audit responses).
- Maintain project approval and governance records.
- Identify improvement opportunities for the project process, obtain buy-in and lead the change.
- Management Committee Coordination and Facilitation.
- Coordinate and manage the agenda for various management committees – PMO Council and DPMO Working Group.
- Publish meeting minutes and track action items.
- Support agenda coordination for specific management committees (SIPC).
- Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? - We'd love to work with you if you have:
- 5+ years of experience in project delivery across the Bank's major business lines; relevant industry experience also a plus.
- Expert knowledge of the Bank's project delivery methodology framework and strong understanding of good project and portfolio management disciplines, governance processes, and executive reporting.
- Strong strategic and critical thinking; able to effectively challenge project status reporting.
- Strong analytical skillset - able to effectively analyze voluminous and complex project- and portfolio- level information in order to arrive at succinct conclusions and insightful recommendations.
- Proven demonstrated success at forming and managing a team, leading and executing change initiatives.
- Possess excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills to deal with senior levels of management.
- Possess strong communication and facilitation skills.
- Versed in developing and implementing fit-for-purpose operational frameworks, processes and reports.
- Proven track record of seeking, learning, and effectively applying process best practices information available from various sources, including documentation, online sources, and the knowledge of other professionals.
