The Role

Our payments group is looking for a Senior Manager, Consulting to join our journey. We’re looking for someone who is a techno-functional solutions architect. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing software solutions to address complex business problems within Payments platforms.

We’re looking for Senior Consulting Managers who can deliver within Cognizant’s Five Pillars of Consulting Excellence: 1) Project Execution, 2) Expertise, 3) Business Development, 4) Practice Development, & 5) People Development. This means overseeing advisory consulting engagements, being a trusted advisor to clients, establishing oneself as a thought leader in your field, solving complex problems, consultatively working with a client to achieve business goals, driving contributions to offerings and innovations, and serving as a people leader, guiding multiple teams as they work to transform a client and the world.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for designing, developing, and implementing software solutions to address complex business problems in scope of Payments platform.
  • Design and execute on key project architectural decisions that define the future technology vision.
  • Define technical roadmaps that align the product deliverables.
  • Work closely with Product, Enterprise Architecture, and Engineering teams while designing and building solutions.
  • Conduct architecture evaluations and trade-off analyses documenting architecture stakeholders and their concerns, with in-depth reviews of costs and benefits, risks and implications.
  • Analyze impact relevant to Payments Canada regulatory requirements and payment industry changes related to SWIFT, LVTS, and ACSS/USBE.
  • Exercise leadership in the development of Consulting service offerings.
  • Leverage collegial networks across Cognizant (e.g., sales, service line community, offshore delivery) and external partners to innovate solutions or resolve issues.
  • Support and contribute to the establishment of thought leadership in the industry, to promote Cognizant’s brand and drive additional opportunities for Cognizant.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of consulting, professional services, digital strategy development, advisory, or transformation programs operating in a client-facing capacity serving and leading external client engagements.
  • A proven track record in a client-facing role with at least 2 of which (though ideally more) are leading digital technology teams.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in software architecture, with at least 5 years in the payments domain.
  • Proven expertise in designing and building solutions, including architecture evaluations and trade-off analyses.
  • Excellent in-depth knowledge of various Canadian regulatory requirements and payment industry requirements (SWIFT, LVTS, ACSS/USBE).
  • Works with Cognizant account stakeholders (e.g., CPs, CRMs), technology partners (e.g., Amazon) and other business allies to identify consulting opportunities or develop winning proposals.
  • Ensure technology solutions are aligned with the standards and guidelines issued by Enterprise Architecture, Payments Canada, and other regulatory bodies.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant business or technical discipline; MBA or Master’s or advanced business degree preferred.
  • Travel Required: Yes – 15%.
  • Onsite Requirements: Remote within Canada.

We believe hybrid work is the way forward as we strive to provide flexibility wherever possible. Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 3 days a week in a Cognizant office in either Toronto or London, ON.
