YOUR TEAM
As a part of our procurement team, you will be working behind the scenes on diverse projects to ensure their optimal presentation. Operating at various stages of the project life cycle, you will offer advice, support, and guidance to creative, technical, and project teams, contributing to the success of our productions.
YOUR MISSION
Under the supervision of the Director of Global Supply & Partnership and the Senior Buyer, you are responsible for managing the logistics operations of Moment Factory. You develop and implement the overall logistics strategy, covering international transportation, the network of logistics partners and suppliers, external warehousing, creating transport budgets, as well as receiving and shipping activities for our Montreal office and internationally. In collaboration with the procurement and production departments, you ensure the preparation of export documents, ensure shipment compliance, manage customs procedures, track shipments, and inform relevant parties of arrivals. Your role also involves supervising warehouse operations.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- International Transport
- Collaborating with the Technical Director, Scenography team, and Procurement department, develop customized logistical strategies for each project or business unit;
- Establishing logistical budgets suited to the types of imports and destinations;
- Coordinate transportation logistics, including air, sea, and road shipments;
- Managing the consolidation of equipment for projects in Montreal and internationally;
- Producing and verifying the compliance of documentation in partnership with the production team;
- Manage global supplier relationships;
- Supervising the logistics team comprising 1 to 2 permanent staff plus temporary labor;
- Domestic Transport
- Oversee and coordinate domestic transportation operations;
- Consolidate equipment in Montreal for export purposes;
- Manage and coordinate transportation between suppliers;
- Ensure prompt delivery of orders for Moment Factory;
- Warehouse Management
- Ensure effective management of Moment Factory's warehouses, both internal and external, on a global scale;
- Manage the reception and dispatch processes at both internal and external warehouses used by Moment Factory's suppliers;
- Coordinate internal and external demonstration activities;
- Oversee inventory control, including the management of packaging materials and warehouse tools;
- Continuous Improvement
- Enhance management, coordination, and tracking tools;
- Participate in reviewing tasks related to logistics, production, and procurement;
- Contribute to post-project analyses conducted by production teams;
- Stay updated on market trends, international news, and key players;
- Implement innovative solutions to optimize the entire logistics process.
YOUR JOURNEY INCLUDES
- A Bachelor's degree in Operations Management and Logistics or any related field;
- Between 3 to 5 years of experience in international transport logistics, with expertise in strategy, coordination, and customs;
- Excellent understanding of documentation and customs processes;
- Proficiency in both French and English, both spoken and written (regular communication with English-speaking clients is required for this role);
- Possession of a valid driver's license;
- Experience in events or audiovisuals is a significant advantage;
- Experience in team management is a significant advantage.

SPECIFIC WORK CONDITIONS
- Occasional non-traditional hours may be required;
