Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Legal Assistant to support a busy litigation lawyer. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of litigation processes, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to anticipate the needs of a fast-paced legal team. Your expertise will help ensure that each case is meticulously managed, from initial filings through final resolutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and organize case files, ensuring all documents are complete and up-to-date.
• Draft, proofread, and edit legal documents, pleadings, and correspondence.
• Coordinate and schedule court dates, client meetings, depositions, and other key events.
• Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court officials to facilitate case progression.
• Conduct research and gather information to support case development and litigation strategy.
• Track deadlines and manage calendars to ensure critical tasks are completed on time.
• Prepare trial binders, exhibits, and other essential documents for court.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a legal assistant or paralegal in litigation.
• In-depth understanding of litigation procedures and legal terminology.
• Strong research, writing, and proofreading skills.
• Proficiency in legal software (e.g., Clio, PC Law) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Professional demeanor and excellent interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Paralegal certificate or equivalent legal education.
• Familiarity with e-discovery tools and trial preparation.
