Senior / Lead Full Stack Developer

About The Team

Our lean but mighty engineering team has built remarkable technology with limited resources, but there's much more work ahead as we scale. Reporting to the COO, you'll collaborate with our existing developers to own end-to-end projects and drive Drift Golf's technical growth. We offer a remote-first work environment with an office in St Albert, Alberta.

What You'll Do :

• Lead our team to develop and enhance our two-sided golf platform (two distinct user groups that provide each other with network benefits).
• Own and ship features from conception to implementation for our Web and Mobile apps using React and React Native.
• Run daily stand-ups and weekly sprints, integrating customer feedback into development.
• Contribute significantly to architecture decisions and technical discussions.
• Write reusable, maintainable code and conduct UI tests to optimize performance.
• Mentor junior team members.
• Help define product roadmap and technical strategy.

Qualifications & Fit :

• 5+ years of professional experience in full-stack development.
• Extensive experience with React, React Native, Node.js, and TypeScript.
• Deep knowledge of database design and optimization.
• Proven track record of architecting and implementing complex features.
• Experience with AWS infrastructure and deployment pipelines.
• History of mentoring developers and leading technical initiatives.
• Strong project management and communication skills.
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities in a fast-paced startup environment.
• A record of identifying valuable projects, communicating the strategy for them, and executing them autonomously.

Best Fit :

• A passion for golf and/or an understanding of the game is highly desired.
• Experience in developing applications for the sports or recreation industries is a plus.

Compensation Range :

• 100,000 - $140,000 CAD.
