The Senior Laboratory Instructor (SLI) leads and supports the delivery of lower-division labs and hands-on learning experiences in the areas of socio-cultural anthropology. In close coordination with course instructors, the incumbent will organize, develop and instruct 200-level labs in socio-cultural and multimodal anthropology.
The general responsibilities of this role include creating labs and digital lab resources, teaching labs, supervising course TAs, holding office hours, preparing marking guides, grading exams, and maintaining lab grade records. The SLI also facilitates and participates in the development of experiential learning opportunities for undergraduate students.
This position requires a level of education, training, and experience equivalent to a Masters degree (MA or MSc) in Anthropology with a focus on socio-cultural anthropology. An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.
