Summary

The Senior IT/Network Architect serves as a key member of the team, responsible for the architecture, design, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of the network infrastructure. The successful candidate will possess extensive experience in networking technologies and demonstrate exceptional leadership and communication skills to facilitate effective cross-functional collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, deploy, and maintain complex network architectures
  • Research and evaluate new network technologies and solutions
  • Provide technical guidance and support
  • Monitor network performance and identify areas for improvement
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues
  • Ensure network infrastructure complies with relevant security standards and regulations
  • Provide technical leadership and expertise to the team
  • Participate in capacity planning and forecasting
  • Maintain documentation of network infrastructure
  • Collaborate with other teams to ensure seamless integration
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
  • Present technical information clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences

Critical Qualifications

  • 5+ years experience in Network Engineering
  • Expert knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, routing protocols and principles, etc.)
  • Strong technical background with excellent knowledge of telecommunications systems and networks
  • Experience in multi-vendor network topologies (Cisco, Juniper, Arista, Nokia, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of network security best practices
  • Knowledge of various network technologies (SDN, cloud networking, virtualization, etc.)
  • Background in cloud computing principles to optimize network agility and operational efficiency
  • Experience with network automation and scripting (e.g., Python, Ansible)
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and documentation skills
  • Analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNP, CCIE, JNCIP, JNCIE) are highly desirable

Additional Information:

For work arrangements that are ‘Hybrid’, successful candidates must be based in Canada and report to a set Bell office for a minimum of 3 days a week. Recognizing the importance of work-life balance, Bell offers flexibility in work hours based on business needs.
