Senior IT Business Analyst

Spark Power, a trusted partner in energy in North America, is looking for a Senior IT Business Analyst to join our Oakville team. The individual in this role is driven to collaborate with teams across the organization to ensure the optimization of applications and business processes that support the organization. You will lead the collection and translation of complex business requirements into detailed system and technical requirements.

What will you do as the Senior IT Business Analyst?

• Promote progress and desired outcomes on assigned projects.
• Lead and contribute to the application and solution design workshops in collaboration with internal and external resources.
• Foster relationships across the organization; collaborate regularly with various departments and operational teams to drive value and demonstrate transparency.
• Act as a key resource in all stages of SDLC and Project Life Cycle.
• Maintain objectivity with own work to ensure solutions are aligned and consistent with business objectives.
• Support the resolution of assigned tickets and application-related issues.
• Raise and escalate any issues and concerns with IT management and/or business process owners.
• Advise stakeholders to make data-driven decisions and value-focused recommendations.
• Develop and maintain documentation as required.

Do you have the Spark? Here’s what we’re looking for:

• University or post-graduate education in a business or STEM discipline.
• Additional certifications that exemplify a desire for continued education are a plus.
• Minimum of 7 years experience in an Implementation consulting or Business Analyst capacity.
• Background or experience with accounting and financial processes is a strong asset.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively understand and refine business requirements.
• Experience in NetSuite or other ERPs such as Oracle Cloud ERP, JDE, SAP S/4HANA is a strong asset.
• Established understanding of change management is a strong asset.
• Experience in delivering business solutions in an agile environment is an asset.
• Experience in analyzing data, queries, and reports to support root cause analysis of reported issues.
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on the production of quality.
• Ability to manage deliverables across multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Self-motivated with a high level of initiative, accountability, and eagerness to learn.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Visio, and Wireframing Tools.
