What You’ll Do:
As our Senior IoT Specialist, you will lead efforts to expand IoT adoption and sales in BC and Alberta's Government and Enterprise markets.
- Drive Strategic Sales: Lead the full sales cycle, from prospecting to closing, for IoT solutions tailored to Government and Enterprise customers. Champion TELUS methodologies to exceed KPIs in Quantity, Quality, Velocity, and Balance
- Consult and Innovate: Partner with clients to identify their challenges and design custom IoT solutions that deliver measurable results. Use your deep understanding of TELUS solutions to create value propositions that drive ROI
- Collaborate for Success: Work with product teams, technical specialists, and account managers to deliver end-to-end solutions. Effectively communicate risks, impacts, and mitigation plans to stakeholders and senior management
- Represent IoT Leadership: Attend industry events, participate in RFP processes, and position TELUS as a trusted IoT leader. Provide thought leadership and maintain high levels of expertise regarding IoT trends and technologies
- Stay Ahead of Trends: Continuously update your knowledge of IoT platforms, protocols, and technologies to provide cutting-edge solutions that keep TELUS at the forefront of innovation
Qualifications
What We’re Looking For:
Must-Haves:
- Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of IoT platforms, communication protocols, and industry standards. In-depth knowledge of TELUS IoT applications and connectivity solutions
- Sales Acumen: 5+ years in a business growth role with success in complex sales cycles targeting Government and Enterprise sectors. Proven ability to exceed sales targets and derive customer value
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with public sector procurement and enterprise business processes, with the capability to navigate and influence decision-making processes
- Cybersecurity Awareness: Knowledge of network security principles in IoT implementations to ensure robust and secure solutions for clients
- Consultative Mindset: Ability to articulate IoT solutions to non-technical audiences and demonstrate ROI. Strong relationship-building skills and customer focus
Nice-to-Haves:
- Background in cloud computing, SaaS, or edge computing
- Experience working in verticals like healthcare, smart cities, or energy
- Knowledge of RFP management and proposal writing

Salary Range: $107,000-$161,000
Performance Bonus or Sales Incentive Plan: $70,000-120,000
Actual total compensation will be determined based on factors such as knowledge, skills, performance and experience. In addition, TELUS offers rewarding benefits, which may vary per job function, such as:
