Senior Infrastructure Services and Management Engineer (Remote)

Job Description

Provides technical expertise and support of Enterprise Infrastructure systems distributed across several data centers. Participates in short and long range technical and architectural planning. Guides all technical activities for infrastructure systems to ensure high reliability, efficiency, and cost effectiveness.

Job Responsibility

1. Provide operational and administrative support for a large multi-vendor storage environment (Dell EMC, Pure Storage Systems, Google Cloud/Netapp and Brocade SAN). The current storage landscape is comprised of (30) storage arrays supporting 25 Petabytes of data distributed across (4) data centers. Redundant Brocade SAN infrastructure supports 1000+ endpoints (ESX, AIX, & Wintel) hosts.
2. Follow vendor and industry best practices to ensure optimal system availability, performance, security and resiliency. Work with various internal business groups and vendors to deliver the best solution for our clients.
3. Attend meetings to gather technical requirements and must be able to manage infrastructure projects with minimal supervision.
4. Guide the infrastructure system analysis, definition, verification, and validation to ensure the evolving systems meet the requirements for the organization, including weekly review and monitoring of capacity and performance reports.
5. Attend architectural review board meetings to ensure standards and the appropriate technical solutions are implemented.
6. Manage ticket queues to ensure tasks are completed in a timely manner, ensuring Service Level Agreements are met.

Job Qualification

1. Bachelor's Degree required, or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
2. Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, required.

HIGHLY PREFERRED

1. Experience with allocating Netapp volumes and Google File Store within GCP. Configuring and optimizing cloud storage environments to ensure data security, high availability, monitoring and optimizing cloud storage resources.
2. Experience supporting and administering Brocade SAN Switches (8510’s Gen 7). Able to perform upgrades, zoning, masking, and troubleshooting performance issues.
3. Experience supporting and administering Pure Storage environment (X50’s/X70’s/X90’s).
4. Experience supporting Dell EMC infrastructure (Power Max 8000, Unity Block, Power Store (5000,1200,3200), Isilon and Unity NAS).
