Your Opportunity

We have an immediate opening for a Senior Hydrogeologist to join our Team in Atlantic Canada. We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic and ready to engage in providing our clients high-quality products while growing both as an individual and as part of a team.

As a Senior Hydrogeologist, you would manage and/or be involved in a variety of projects related to hydrogeologic assessment, groundwater supply development, and groundwater protection and management. Your expertise will contribute to diverse initiatives that protect and enhance our most precious resource—water.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute field investigations in support of hydrogeological studies including drilling, well construction and testing oversight; groundwater sampling; and water level monitoring.
  • Follow safe work practices and adhere to company and client guidelines and policies for planning and executing work safely.
  • Lead and execute groundwater aquifer characterization, data management and interpretation, including geological cross-sections or 3D geological models, groundwater contour maps, aquifer tests, water quality, and conceptual, analytical, and numerical hydrogeologic models as required.
  • Prepare technical reports documenting field investigations and analytical results.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations of hydrogeologic investigations internally and to external clients.
  • Develop project budgets, determine project scope, and establish project schedules.
  • Contribute to business development activities, including proposals, pre-qualifications, and relationship building with clients and prospective clients.
  • Provide supervision, training, technical direction, and mentoring to more junior staff.

Education and Experience

Minimum of a master’s degree specializing in hydrogeology from a hydrogeology, geoscience, or engineering program.

Minimum 12 years of working experience in consulting or regulatory environment, regularly using and analyzing hydrogeologic data.

Existing professional registration (P.Geo. or P.Eng.).

Experience with hydrogeological characterization work including aquifer test design, analysis and technical report writing.

Experience with hydrogeological modeling software such as MODFLOW, FEFLOW, and/or AQTESOLV.

Experience with programming languages including Fortran, Python, VBA, or SQL is considered an asset.
