Senior Human Resources Business Partner, Labour Relations

MacDonald Search Group is proud to partner with a Vancouver area success story in the consumer packaged goods industry in their search for an HR Manager to join their team for a one year contract.

What you will be doing:

1. Recruitment, on-boarding, orientation, off-boarding activities
2. Analyze HR metrics data/trends to identify issues and recommend strategies for improvement
3. Address and resolve complex employee concerns and disputes, ensuring adherence to employment laws and company policies
4. Advise management of potential employee issues and either overseeing or conducting the investigation required to successfully work through employee issues, including formal complaints
5. Administration of extended health, dental and MSP benefit programs
6. Administration of claims management
7. Oversee outsourced payroll (Payworks, ADP) and prepare reports as required for management
8. Maintain employee related personnel files
9. Develop, update and maintain companywide employee policies, procedures, and programs
10. Delivering training programs and workshops for management on employee relations policies and practices
11. Supporting employee development initiatives
12. Monitor performance evaluation program
13. Manage HR related grant applications

Who you are:

1. You have a relevant degree and experience at the HR Manager level
2. You have some experience in a production/manufacturing environment
3. You have or are pursuing your CPHR designation
4. Strong Microsoft Office Skills
5. You are a strong communicator and relationship builder
