Position Summary:
H&R Block Canada, the leader in the tax preparation industry in Canada for 60 years, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to join our team. Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, the Senior HRBP will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive HR support and guidance to our CSC Departments and Field Associates.
You will be responsible for various HR activities such as training and development, DEIB, employee relations, workplace investigations, performance management, succession planning, HR policy compliance, and leading projects to enhance the overall effectiveness of all HR focus areas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develops, delivers, and evaluates HR corporate training programs, with a special focus on leadership skills and DEIB, to address the specific needs of the business.
- Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues, ensuring thorough and unbiased workplace investigations, and maintaining accurate documentation.
- Collaborates closely with People Leaders and Associates to provide coaching on performance management, career growth, succession planning, and support in resolving workplace issues.
- Reviews and develops HR policies annually, providing guidance and interpretation to ensure compliance with HR regulations.
- Analyzes HR trends and metrics, leveraging insights to develop effective HR solutions, programs, and policies.
- Assists leaders with change management efforts during the implementation of new processes and initiatives.
- Stays updated on provincial employment legislations, ensuring compliance across the organization.
Education and Experience:
Degree in Human Resources or a related field and 7 years of experience as an HR generalist, including at least 3 years developing HR corporate training programs, or a relevant combination of education and experience.

- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills. Fluency in French is a definite asset.
