The Senior Global Sourcing Manager

is responsible for formulating and driving strategies for managing a commodity to ensure supply assurance and long-term savings. Your expertise in supplier relationship management, contract management and data analysis will be needed to seek favorable terms, volume discounts and long-term contracts with vendors. Knowledge in PCBA and electronic components within analytical devices, such as Liquid Chromatography, Mass Spectrometry and Capillary Electrophoresis (or similar technology) will be an added advantage in this position. Expect to work closely with Purchasing, Supplier Quality, QARA, Engineering and Global Planning teams to drive supplier KPIs and continuous improvement.

This position reports to the Senior Manager, Global Sourcing and is part of the Global Sourcing team located in Singapore and will be an on-site role.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• Lead the development and execution of strategies to ensure supply continuity with upsides opportunities.
• Manage and own the overall commodity spent to secure savings to meet annual objectives.
• Take a broad perspective to identify and communicate broadly within SCIEX innovative solutions which meet the needs of all business areas and sites.
• Lead the development and maintenance of operational forecasts; track forecast versus actual, all within an approved budget.
• Lead and collaborate with procurement operations team members to deploy the strategy and respond to operational feedback.

The essential requirements of the job include:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics Engineering.
• At least 7 years of experience in Strategic Supplier/Commodity Management with end-to-end experience in managing OEM vendors and business relationship.
• Commercial skills and contracts composition experience.
• Ability to influence the organization and manage cross-functional team.
• Knowledge of supply chain BOM structures - tier 1 systems to lower level commodities.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• Managing PCBA contract manufacturers and multi-cultural teams.
• Electronics commodities within the life science industry.
• Cost modeling, especially on PCBA.
