Senior Full Stack Web Developer

Fortinet team has a great career opportunity for a Senior Full Stack Web Developer within its FortiClient team, which is responsible for several of Fortinet's client software developments. The successful candidate will engage in full stack web development and have the opportunities to contribute to various aspects of the software development within the team.

We are open candidates with intermediate, senior or staff level experience for this role!

Position: This is a full-time, permanent role

Location: Burnaby, BC (we are working a hybrid model)

Job Responsibilities:

1. Design, research, development and maintenance for the FortiClient EMS software
2. Implement and manage microservices architecture to enhance system performance and scalability
3. Stay current with the latest trends in frontend and backend web application development.

Skills Required:

1. Minimum 5 years' relevant work experience
2. Experience with relational databases (ex. SQL, MS SQL, PostgreSQL)
3. Demonstrated working experience with Python
4. Previous work experience with Angular
5. Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills
6. Experience with web frameworks (ex. Django, Flask, Express.js)
7. Familiar with RESTful API design principles
8. Must be able to work well in a team development environment
9. Self-motivated, demonstrated ability to show proactiveness

Nice-to-Have:

1. Experience with Go/Golang
2. Experience with network topology and security
3. Experience with Docker containers

The Canada base salary range for this full-time position is expected to be between $100,000 - $130,000 annually. Wage ranges are based on various factors including the labour market, job type, and job level. Exact salary offers will be determined by factors such as the candidate’s subject knowledge, skill level, qualifications, and experience.
