The Senior Financial & Compliance Advisor is responsible for providing advice and assistance on all financial matters relating to the assigned program areas under the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development (EECD). The Senior Financial & Compliance Advisor is the primary day-to-day contact on financial matters that support program delivery regarding financial accountability and policy compliance.
This position reports to the Director of Education Funding & Partnerships.

This may be the right opportunity for you if you have a bachelor’s degree (in a related field of study), along with 6 years of related experience. A CPA designation (or enrollment in the CPA program) would be considered an asset. An equivalent combination of training and experience may be acceptable.
As the ideal candidate, you are detail oriented, decisive, and guided by generally accepted accounting principles and PSAB. You have previous experience with financial control, budget preparation and monitoring. You are proficient in Microsoft Office programs, particularly Microsoft Excel. You have exceptional communication skills (written and verbal) with strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.
An equivalent combination of related training and experience may be acceptable in place of education requirements. Applicants relying on education and experience equivalencies must demonstrate such equivalencies in their application.
Most of your work is in a comfortable office environment. There is a need for you to balance competing priorities and meet strict deadlines.
This is a TERM employment opportunity with an anticipated end date of February 19, 2027.
Pay Grade: PR 17
Salary Range: $3,107.16- $3,649.33 Bi-Weekly
