Senior Financial Analyst, Finance Business Partnering

We are looking for our next Senior Financial Analyst of Finance Business Partnering. This role works within a highly professional and strategically focused business partnering team reporting to the Assistant Vice President of Business Partnering for Corporate Expense Management.

What you'll do:
Driving Business Performance
Ensures all business decisions are supported by high-quality financial analysis with the necessary data resources, analytical tools, structured frameworks, and standard methodologies.
Drives quality Expense planning ensuring business activities are being built, culminating in expense plans and performance targets being set and corporate targets are met!
Proactively manage expenses to provide senior management with potential upsides/downsides that can be effectively used to achieve multi-year expense targets.
Advises Business Unit Operational Reviews and Expense Planning processes, engages business leaders and leverages standard methodologies and common processes.
Compare expense performance against industry benchmarks using WARD benchmarking study and provide recommendations to senior management to improve efficiency & business performance.
Leverages deep generalist knowledge, interprets/synthesizes, and delivers timely management information that contributes to beneficial decision support.
Ensures that financial support is provided to initiatives that contribute to the business.
Cost Management
Establishes and implements a framework to drive expense management discipline and focus within the business - identifying and reducing non-value-added costs in associated business segments.
Ensures the business uses relevant and reliable product/customer/segment cost information.
Understands the long-term cost structure of our business and takes an active role in the cost management process.
Understand, challenge and account for Group Recharges
Relationship Management
Aligns FP&A with other adjacent functions such as Capital, Actuarial, Pricing, and Claims and coordinates cross-functional deliverables as they relate to both Corporate Planning and the broader FP&A team.
Work closely with entire FP&A team and outside stakeholders to stay ahead of potential headwinds/tailwinds to expenses.
Able to provide insights into the future, sees the big picture, influence the senior management team, takes the initiative proactively and focuses on aligning Finance and other functions within the business.
Responsible for growing the relationships with the FP&A team and beyond as a partner providing outstanding client experience and strengthening the relationships across boundaries.
Strategic Management
Ensures accurate financial assumptions in corporate and business unit strategic planning processes are consistently made.
Participates effectively in the development of expense planning models that reflect key drivers of value and a driven environment.
Provides a consistent approach which assists the business in measuring its performance against strategy and operating plans.
Plays a key role in ensuring that competitive analyses are developed for the business.
Brings a digital-first and customer-centric mentality.
Performance Measurement and Management Control
Understands key financial and operational drivers of performance and helps to integrate them consistently in business management reporting processes.
Supports the development/refinement of appropriate efficiency metrics, dashboards and financial/nonfinancial KPIs to enable effective performance management.
Tracks and analyzes information that is predictive and actionable.
Coordinates the communication of performance towards goals and strategies of the business.
Establishes and drives forward-looking planning/budgeting processes ensuring alignment between financial and strategic plans.
Governance/Stewardship Role
Coordinates the deployment of financial controls across the business that is effective at preventing undesirable risks.
Aligns finance processes and priorities with those of the business and is flexible at adapting finance processes to meet the business's changing needs.

What you'll bring:
3+ years post-qualification financial management experience (preferably in a P&C organization).
CPA or equivalent.
This position demands a high level of independence, visibility, and communication. Therefore, effective communication skills are needed.

Ability to manage multiple initiatives in a structured and controlled framework.

What you'll get:
The salary band for this position ranges from $64,200 to $119,200. Please note that individual salary is determined by factors such as job-related knowledge, skills and experience, as well as internal equity.
