Senior Financial Analyst

Key Responsibilities

1. Provide meaningful financial analysis to Controller and General Manager for effective decision-making
2. Assist in the development of effective processes and procedures within Finance and Administration
3. Preparing and consolidating financial statements
4. Reviewing monthly departmental financial results with department managers and General Manager
5. Support all group and corporate financial reporting requirements
6. Ensure internal controls are maintained and make recommendations on new internal controls
7. Providing monthly, quarterly, and year-end analyses
8. Coordinating and assisting with the budget process
9. Researching accounting issues for compliance with generally accepted accounting principles
10. Analyzing and reporting cost variances
11. Serving as a liaison to external auditors
12. Support and encourage KAIZEN principles, concepts, and activities
13. Perform other duties as required (i.e. special projects) and prepare Adhoc reports for Controller and upper management

Basic Requirements

1. Minimum 3 years of financial analysis experience in a manufacturing environment
2. ERP background in a manufacturing industry (SAP required)
3. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and excellent critical thinking skills
4. Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in PowerPoint; Power BI is an asset
5. Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
6. Preferably CPA (CA, CMA or CGA) or MBA
7. Highly skilled in math, accounting, and financial processes
8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
9. Detail-oriented
10. Highly organized and skilled in time management with the ability to prioritize tasks
