One of Vaco’s clients is looking for a highly analytical and detail-oriented Strategic Sr. Financial Analyst to join their team. This role will focus on providing financial analysis and investment insights to support strategic decisions related to new business lines, acquisitions, projects, and potential divestitures. You will be responsible for conducting due diligence, building financial models, and evaluating ROI potential, as well as supporting all aspects of portfolio management and reporting.

1. Conduct strategic financial analysis to assess the potential of new business lines, acquisitions, projects, and other investment opportunities.
2. Build detailed financial models to evaluate ROI, IRR, and other key performance metrics for potential investments and divestitures.
3. Perform due diligence, including financial modeling, metrics analysis, and competitive analysis, to support investment decisions.
4. Evaluate the financial viability of potential projects and acquisitions, assessing risk, returns, and overall alignment with company strategy.
5. Support portfolio management activities by validating business and financial plans and tracking key financial metrics (e.g., IRR, MOIC).
6. Prepare reports and presentations to communicate findings, insights, and recommendations to senior leadership and stakeholders.
7. Monitor and track the financial performance of investments, providing regular updates and analysis.
8. Work closely with other teams to evaluate potential purchases and divestitures, helping inform decisions on deal structures and terms.

1. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or CFA is a plus.
2. 3-5 years of experience in strategic finance, investment finance, or financial analysis, with a background in private equity, investment banking, or venture capital.
3. Strong experience in financial modeling, including creating detailed models for investment analysis, ROI, IRR, and other key metrics.
4. Advanced understanding of financial statements, due diligence processes, and competitive analysis.
5. Experience in evaluating potential investments, acquisitions, and divestitures, with a focus on strategic alignment and financial viability.
6. Proficient in Microsoft Excel (advanced modeling skills) and financial analysis software.
7. Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate large data sets and provide actionable insights.
8. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
9. Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data to senior leadership.
