Job type: Full-time

Salary Range: $90,000 - $100,000

Your Role

The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for supporting the Senior Management Team decision making by preparing business cases and maintaining the corporate financial model. The position is also responsible for helping with strategic financial analysis and prepares documents and presentations for the Senior Management Team and external stakeholders such as investors, lenders, and research analysts.

What You Bring

  • Post-secondary education in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business or a related field
  • CFA or CPA designation (or in final stages of acquiring such designation) or equivalent
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in public practice, business development or financial planning and analysis
  • Experience of building and maintaining complex financial models in Excel, ideally corporate 3-statement models with supporting schedules
  • Solid foundation in financial accounting and knowledge of IFRS
  • In-depth knowledge of MS Excel including complex formulas
  • Ability to plan workload and manage multiple projects with competing priorities
  • Ability to work with a high level of independence
  • Strong attention to detail with continuous improvement
  • Advanced analytical skills and ability to support business decision making using quantitative analysis
  • Basic knowledge of SQL, and working knowledge of Business Intelligence tools is an asset

Key Responsibilities

  • Administers and improves the company's corporate financial model including the company's cash and liquidity forecast
  • Contributes to preparation of various analyses and corporate presentations for senior and executive management, the Board of Directors, investors, research analysts, and lenders
  • Responsible for preparation of business cases related to strategic initiatives such as major investment projects and M&A
  • Assist with budgeting process and site level financial rolling forecast
  • Additional responsibilities and special projects varying in length and complexity as required
