Job description

At Fullscript, we’re not just changing healthcare—we’re making it whole.

We help 100,000+ healthcare practitioners support 10 million patients with a platform that delivers evidence-based health solutions, diagnostic support, and practitioner tools—all in one place.

Healthcare today is disconnected. We’re fixing that. Fullscript makes it easier for practitioners to treat the whole person, not just symptoms, so patients get the support they need—when they need it.

We’re building a better way—one where healthcare is connected, complete, and built for impact.

The Senior Financial Accountant will play a critical role in supporting the finance team with a specific focus on Fullscript’s Labs product offering. This role ensures accurate financial reporting and compliance while managing key accounting functions, including prepaids, accruals, fixed assets, development capitalization (DevCap), recurring journal entries, and reconciliations. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in accounting principles and will help maintain the financial integrity of the Labs product by ensuring precise tracking and reporting of related transactions.

What You'll Do:
  • Financial Accounting & Reporting:
  • Prepaid Expenses: Track, amortize, and reconcile prepaids related to the Labs product.
  • Accruals: Maintain and reconcile accrual accounts, ensuring proper recognition of expenses.
  • Fixed Asset Module: Manage asset capitalization, depreciation, disposals, and reconciliations, specifically for Labs-related equipment and software.
  • Development Capitalization (DevCap): Ensure accurate tracking and accounting treatment of capitalized development costs related to the Labs product.
  • Recurring Entries: Process and review recurring journal entries, ensuring consistency and accuracy in financial records.
  • Reconciliations: Perform monthly and quarterly account reconciliations to validate financial data integrity.

  • Month-End & Year-End Close:
  • Support the Labs product’s month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries and financial statement preparation.
  • Ensure accurate cut-off procedures for revenue and expenses related to Labs.
  • Prepare schedules and reconciliations for external audits.

  • Financial Analysis & Compliance:
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports in compliance with GAAP/IFRS.
  • Ensure adherence to internal controls, policies, and procedures related to Labs financial transactions.
  • Assist with variance analysis and provide insights into financial trends affecting the Labs product.

  • Process Improvement & Collaboration:
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency in financial processes related to Labs.
  • Work cross-functionally with teams such as FP&A, R&D, Accounts Payable, and Operations to ensure accurate financial data for the Labs product.
  • Assist in system enhancements and reporting improvements related to Labs financial data.
What You Bring to the Table:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA designation (or working towards it).
  • 3+ years of experience in financial accounting.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP/IFRS accounting principles.
  • Experience with prepaids, accruals, fixed assets, DevCap, recurring entries, and reconciliations.
  • Proficiency in ERP/accounting systems (NetSuite preferred).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis).
  • Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and collaborate across teams.
Why You'll Love Fullscript:
  • Competitive Total Rewards offerings.
  • RRSP savings plan & matching (within CAD).
  • Customizable Health Benefits.
  • Flexible Paid Time Off program.
  • Discounts on Fullscript catalog of products for self, family & friends.
  • Training allowance and company-wide learning initiatives.
  • Work Wherever You Work Well.
