As the Senior Finance Data Analyst, you will:
Working within our Finance Shared Services group, you will act as a key enabler within an analytics team, supporting change and process re-engineering. The Senior Finance Data Analyst will support the team through the inception to execution of projects, providing data and analytics support for process owners, building automation solutions, and driving joint initiatives held with IT or our Automation specialist teams. You will collaborate with teams across Element, inclusive of our Continuous Improvement and Automation specialist group, wider Finance teams, Commercial and Operations.
A Day in the Life
- Conduct detailed analysis on opportunities to eliminate, simplify and automate processes.
- Facilitate automation of analytical and operational tasks and processes at scale, incorporating automation tools such as Alteryx, Power BI, Power Automate, or development of requirements for RPAs and IT led projects.
- Analyze business requirements and processes to identify opportunities for improvement with technology solutions.
- Key contributor within a team of mixed discipline resources to drive tangible change across key priority processes to deliver process improvements for productivity savings and enhanced customer/employee experience.
- Take ownership of financial data and analytics processes with a fair understanding of business processes.
- Provide data management processes such as accessing raw data feeds, building queries, and designing reports.
- Create user friendly data visualizations to report complex business processes via related KPIs, benchmarking, statistical analysis, exception reporting, etc.
- Perform ad hoc and rapid data analysis.
- Ability to work independently on a range of complex tasks, which may include unique situations and financial modelling.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in accounting, economics, finance, statistics, data analysis or a related field of study.
- Minimum three years of experience in business process engineering, finance transformation, or a top-tier management consulting firm, or as a data analyst within finance or business intelligence.
- Track record of data-driven analysis, and linking data and analytics to business strategy, financial performance, and process improvement.
- Strong analytical background, including the ability to break down and work through complex problems in a structured manner.
- Ability to create data visualizations to report KPIs and metrics.
- MS Office proficiency: Excel power user, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint.
- Strong knowledge of and experience with databases (SQL, SnowSQL, etc.).
- Extensive experience with automation technologies and data visualization tools such as PowerBI, Power Automate, Smartsheet workflow, RPAs, Alteryx, or other BI tools.
- Knowledge of data gathering, cleaning and transforming techniques preferred.
- Knowledge of and hands-on experience with SAP S4/HANA a plus.
The hiring base salary range for this position is $76,300 - $104,900 annually. Actual compensation within this range will be dependent upon the individual’s knowledge, skills, experience, equity with other team members, and alignment with market data.
